As an out-of-school youth, it's not easy for me to communicate well in English conversation, yet experts in English advised me to follow these basic tips to improve both my oral and written communication skills.

  • Watch English Movies
  • Read English Novels and Articles
  • Practice Writing Journal in English Form
  • Learn Sentences Instead of Words
  • Listen to Others

Note: Your English does not define your intellect, but make sure to speak with clarity and in a neutral accent.

If you want to be a valuable communicator, then you have to develop your English communication skills by speaking in English in the sense that you can communicate well and you be able to take direction from others in the conversation process. I believe by speaking slower, you'll have more time to choose your words, think about your answers, and give the best possible response. Whoever you're trying to communicate with will appreciate that you've tried to select your words carefully.

Thus, improving your communication skills in English is a difficult task, but one that can be achieved with some hard work and by paying attention to how we come across in a conversation.
