  1. Share with us your story of when and why you left school? 

After graduated from grade12, I left school due to having financial problems.


  1. Lessons learned from being in school? 

In school, you really don't need to be intelligent; you only need to be a hardworking student.


  1. Lessons learned from being out-of-school?

One thing I learned for sure is that is really hard to find a stable job when you haven’t finished school. 


  1. What's keeping you busy these days?  

At present, I’m doing some farming and managing my small business. 


  1. If given the chance, do you want to go back to some type of school?

Yes, if financial isn’t a problem I’d like to go back to school of any kind. 


  1. What was the most difficult part of being an out-of-school youth?

Like I mentioned before, finding a stable job is something that has been a constant struggle. 


  1. What are opportunities you wish are more available to OSY? 

I wish that there are more alternative school programs and also more available jobs that don’t discriminate against OSYs.

When it’s your time, it’s yours.

Success is not all about being successful in your profession, its about where you are happy and comfortable.
